A lot of people here seem to do what they call a "Downey Dunk" on their dolls' hair. If you run a search for that phrase, you'll find some great photo albums people have put together that take you through practically all the steps you'll need to use. Oh, and get a wire wig brush for combing out her hair.

You might also start with a detangling spray when you brush through it. It also makes the hair shiny, and it smells good too!

You can also check out my "Restoration" photo album, among the albums in my signature, and see if any of my process fits your situation.

    Have fun!
